Message from HRH Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz
On the Occasion of the Inauguration of
King Fahad International Airport

We thank Almighty Allah for the countless blessings bestowed upon this country by Him and for the security, welfare and prosperity we are enjoying now under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown prince, may Allah protect them.

History shall note that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved during a very short period of time with the help of Allah, so many achievements through its ambitious development plans. Among these achievements are the development of a modern air transport industry and the laying down of a strong foundation for civil aviation as an essential tool for progress. The Government’s concern wasn’t focused on just the infrastructure, installations and facilities alone, though this fact cannot be denied, but in fact at the top of the government’s concern comes the priority of building the Saudi individual, his development and the provision for the best services and care for him according to the highest international standards and parameters.

The Kingdom’s celebration of the inauguration of KFIA today is considered as an assurance of the government’s determination to continue establishment of more development projects that aim to serve citizens. This airport with its strategic geographical location is expected to play a major role in the development of this region, enhance its economic and commercial activities, act as a focal point for attracting investment and create job opportunities for its youth.

Finally, I would like to emphasize the fact that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy mosques and the Crown prince spares no effort in trying to develop all aspects of our life – education, health, transport, etc., with the noble intention of serving this country and its citizens and strengthening the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the international arena.
