President of the Presidency of Civil Aviation
On the Occasion of the Inauguration of
 King Fahad International Airport

Since the beginning of the Civil Aviation industry in this country by the Late King Abdulaziz, (may Allah bless him), the unifier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with the modern achievements accomplished by his faithful sons in this strategic field which climaxed in the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, PCA has been playing a major role in the construction and development of a modern network of airports covering all the regions of the Kingdom. The Presidency of Civil Aviation is striving to achieve its main goal of providing air transport services to all the cities and villages of our beloved country according to the needs of the Kingdom based on an integrated program and comprehensive studies.

It’s a great pleasure for the Presidency of Civil Aviation to be able to participate in the government’s sincere efforts to develop this country and to present to you, King Fahad International Airport, which is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This new airport is located in an important area being the Kingdom’s gateway along the Arabian Gulf and a very strategic intersection point between the Far East, Europe and the USA. We anticipate that this airport will be a new investment stimulant, an investment opportunity to invigorate commercial activity in the region that is considered the capital of the world’s petroleum industry in addition to the numerous employment opportunities which this airport will bring to Saudi Youth. There is no doubt the establishment of this airport in this particular region shall positively contribute to the achievement of greater economic and cultural development and enhance regional and international trade.
